Three (3) BALOU STAR sons licensed in Saint Lô

The sons of the Oldenburg jumping stallion and YR Team European Champion BALOU STAR (breeder: Otto Nos) convinced at the first licensing in France at the Selle Francais main licensing on 19.02.2021 in Saint Lô:

All three (3) presented stallions ICATCHER DE BALOU STAR and ITOT DE BALOU STAR bred by Udo Oppermann, as well as INSTANT BRECAM bred by Adrian Bret received a positive approval. They convinced the jury especially in type, jumping ability, movement and character.
ICATCHER DE BALOU STAR is a full brother to the 2019 Rastede Championess Lady-Lou OLD, and he is bred from a proven Veloce de Favi (AA) mare line. In his pedigree, 12 times the genes of the legendary Arabian Thoroughbred stallion Denouste prove their worth.
ITOT DE BALOU STAR descends from the direct dam line of the internationally successful Itot du Chateau under Edwina Tops-Alexander. This line belongs to the absolute “silverware” of French show jumping breeding. The grand dam Kolea du Chateau is the highest rated brood mare in France.
INSTANT BRECAM is also bred out of a very successful line of Air Jordan x Muguet du Manoir.
Also at the first licensing in Germany, the Holstein-bred BALOU STAR son BALOU STAR DE UNO, bred by Thomas Kögler, was licensed on 14 November 2020 at the “Showcase of the Best” in Neustadt-Dosse. Thus, a total of four (4) sons of BALOU STAR were registered in the stallion registers this season.
