Trained by Bernd Stute, and only a few weeks under the saddle of his rider Hartwig Rohde, our 4 year old stallion prospect BUGATTI DE BALOU STAR convinced very impressively at the 72nd Oldenburg State Show in Rastede. He won in an almost playful manner with a score of 8.7 in the qualification for the Championships of four-year-old show jumpers. In the final of the championship of Rastede he achieved the third place with a score of 8.5.
The approx. 1.68m tall and blood marked BUGATTI DE BALOU STAR presented himself in an excellent manner with very high rideability, a pronounced canter and a lot of impression and ability at the jump. He is a son of BALOU STAR out of a CASIRO I x VELOCE DE FAVI AA mare. This mare line also produced the already internationally successful BALOU STAR offspring LADY-LOU OLD, 2019 Champion of 6-year-olds in Rastede, as well as the stallion ICATCHER DE BALOU STAR, licensed in February 2021 at Saint-Lô Selle Français in France.
Through his sire BALOU STAR, BUGATTI DE BALOU STAR has in particular the “performance genes” of the world-class stallions BALOUBET DU ROUET, QUICK STAR and ALME Z. Through QUICK STAR’s dam STELLA and the Anglo-Arabian granddam LAEME DE DRULHE, the highly sought-after “endurance genes” of the legendary thoroughbred Arabian and exceptional performance sire DENOUSTE are also present 12 times in this pedigree.
This special genetics is the basis of our today’s jumper breeding with already several full siblings to BUGATTI and ICATCHER in our training stable.
